General-purpose grade. Good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments. Our most ordered material.
18/8 Austenitic
316
316 / 316L Stainless Steel
Molybdenum-alloyed grade for marine, chemical, and food environments. Standard for anything saltwater-exposed.
Marine Grade · Food Safe
17-4PH
17-4PH Stainless Steel
General-purpose grade. Good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments. Our most ordered material.
Precipitation Hardened
2205
Duplex 2205 / Super Duplex 2507
Dual austenitic-ferritic microstructure. Higher strength than 316L with excellent chloride stress corrosion resistance.

How It Works
Three Steps to Your Parts

3
Send Your Request
Email us your drawing, DXF/STEP file, or a sketch with dimensions. If you have a sample part, photos work too. We will confirm the material and finish requirements.
Respond Within 24 Hours
We review for manufacturability, flag anything that could cause problems, and send you a detailed quote with per-unit pricing at different quantities — usually in less than a day.
Production + Delivery
We machine, inspect, and pack your order. Sea freight, air freight, and express courier all available. Material certs and inspection reports ship with every order.
Client Feedback
What Buyers Say
We source rod ends and clevis for suspension components. Profab's tolerances are tight and the material certs are legit — we verified them with our own XRF gun on the first order. Now on our fourth order and no issues.
Michael Turner
Purchasing Manager · Automotive OEM Supplier, USA
We had a non-standard fitting that nobody else would quote without a 500-piece minimum. Profab did a 50-piece trial, the DFM feedback they gave us actually improved the design, and the lead time was faster than expected. Good factory.
Isabella Chen
Project Engineer · Food Equipment Manufacturer, Australia
Marine hardware for our charter fleet. Everything in 316L, mirror finish where visible. The cleats and handrails have been in saltwater service for two seasons now — no pitting, no discolouration. Worth the price.

FAQ
Common Questions
Not seeing your question? Email us at [email protected] and we typically reply same day.
What stainless grades can you supply?
We regularly machine 303, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 17-4PH, 2205 duplex, 2507 super duplex, 410, and 430. If you need a grade not listed, just contact our team.
What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no hard minimum. We regularly run prototypes of 100 pieces and full production runs of 10,000+. Pricing tiers at 100, 500, and 1000 pieces. We show all tiers in our quotes so you can see where the economics shift.
Can you work from my drawings or CAD files?
Yes. Send DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, or PDF with dimensions. If you only have a sample part and no drawing, we can reverse-engineer it for an additional fee. We review all drawings for manufacturability before quoting.
When should I use 304 vs 316?
304 is the go-to for indoor and mildly corrosive environments. It is cheaper and machines easily. 316 adds molybdenum which resists chloride attack, so use it for anything exposed to saltwater, coastal air, food-grade cleaning chemicals, or marine environments. The cost difference is typically 15–25%.
What surface finishes do you offer?
Electropolishing; Sandblasting / Bead Blasting; Mirror Polishing; Powder Coating; Passivation; Brushing (Satin Finish); Black Oxide / Blackening (on stainless steel alloys that support it).
Do you provide material test certificates?
Yes, every order ships with a mill certificate showing the heat number and chemical composition. For 316L and duplex grades we offer XRF verification at no extra charge. NACE and PED-compliant documentation available on request.
