Full Threaded Rod
- Most common configuration for structural hanging, general fastening, and adjustable assemblies
- Chamfered ends standard
- Best for: HVAC and MEP hanging, structural bracing, dock and marine hardware, chemical plant pipe support
Partially Threaded Rod
- Higher shear resistance at the plain shank compared to threaded shank under equivalent lateral load
- Used where one end welds or press-fits into a structure and the other end fastens with a nut
- Best for: anchor studs, weld-in fasteners, jig and fixture mounting points
Acme Threaded Rod
- Converts rotary motion to linear displacement with higher efficiency than square thread
- Self-locking under static load; can carry greater axial load than equivalent V-thread
- Best for: lead screws, jacking assemblies, linear actuator drive rods, valve stems, press screws
Single End Threaded Rod
Threaded at one end with a smooth unthreaded shank, customized in thread length and overall length
Also called single ended threaded bar, weld-on stud, or partial thread rod
Best for: welded linkage assemblies, concrete anchor bolts, custom hydraulic cylinder tie rods, standoff mounts
Double End Threaded Rod
- Thread length at each end specified independently at order
- Available with different thread specifications at each end (e.g. UNF one end, metric the other)

Hollow Threaded Rod
- Internal thread in metric or inch; outer diameter and wall thickness specified at order
- Also called hollow female threaded rod or threaded sleeve

Choosing the Right Grade
304 Stainless
Ideal for indoor MEP, dry to mildly humid environments, non-coastal architectural framing, and general industrial fastening (ISO 3506-1 A2 / ASTM A276 equivalent; A193 B8 optional). The low-carbon 304L variant prevents carbide precipitation during welding. Avoid using in salt spray, high-chloride areas, or direct CIP chemical washdown zones where crevice corrosion can occur.

316 / 316L
The standard grade for marine hardware, docks, coastal structures, chemical processing, and sanitary food washdown zones (ASTM A193 B8M equivalent). Its 2–3% molybdenum content protects thread roots against chloride pitting, while the low-carbon 316L chemistry prevents sensitization during stud welding.

Duplex 2205
Engineered for high-load offshore platforms, subsea anchors, chemical plant hangers, and coastal retaining tie-backs. Delivering double the yield strength of 316L (450 MPa vs. 210 MPa) along with superior stress corrosion cracking resistance, it allows engineers to downsize rod diameters to reduce total assembly weight and cost.
