Laser Cutting Crisis
In May 2024, Profab received an order for 500 pieces of laser cut stainless steel control panels with company logo engraving from Jennifer Lee in Chicago, U.S.A. On 14th May, our fibre laser machine was down due to a faulty control board, which was expected to take 10 days for overhauling, and it was difficult to satisfy the urgent requirement of delivering the products for the exhibition before 30th May.
Facing the crisis, Profab quickly contacted a partner factory with the same model of laser machine 200km away, shared the G-code and positioning fixture at the first time, and arranged the machine for continuous processing overnight. After two days of marathon debugging and engraving, all the panels were inspected and shipped on 27th May and delivered to the site on 29th May on time.
Jennifer Lee received the shipment and highly appreciated it, ‘You guys saved my booth display, no one knew how chaotic it was behind the scenes – everything went very smoothly.’
